"Rice In Silver Bowls"- This is the first cover of three books by Alice Ekert-Rotholz that I painted.  Europeans leave for foreign lands, in this case Bangkok,Thailand and continue their intrigues and romance. This is one of the earlier buxom illustrations done while men still dominated as Art Directors   In the illustration I painted a typical Thai statue in the center to define more of that culture, but the Art Director chose instead to repeat a partial image of the front cover clinch on the spine to encourage sales.
