For this book I thought of a medieval Viking look, of the proud warrior, muscles aglow, with sword in hand, and his lady in the other. Romance fantasy personified! It was around this time that women were becoming art directors and they changed the focus from displaying a woman's body to emphasizing the man's body on romance covers. After all, this is what they felt the female readership wanted to see.
