The aqua color and transparency of these waters, as well as the sunny colors on the people gave this painting a Caribbean look. The bathing suit in the painting is different than the one on the cover proof. This was about 20 years ago, but I remember first painting a more colorful suit, later either the art director asked or perhaps I decided, to change it to plain black, so as not to distract from the bodies. But they printed the unchanged version. That’s why my painting shows the solid black suit, not the earlier colorful one.
