An old friend, Gene Light, and excellent Art Director then at Warner Books, started me in illustration when he saw a painting I exhibited at the Society of Illustrators. The assignment to illustrate twelve volumes of Anthony Powell's momentous book series, "A Dance To The Music Of Time", was one of many most interesting assignments he gave me. On this cover (# 3 of the series), there is a thoughtful and intimate meeting of a couple, set in the stylish look of the late 1920's period.
