"By The Shores Of Silver Lake"- I was surprised to be asked to illustrate several series of "Little House on the Prairie". The art director wanted a more realistic style image. They liked the painting at Harper-Collins at the time, paid me quite well, but as far as I know these illustrations were never used. Therefore, I have no cover proofs. The model sat astride the famed wooden horse at Osonitch’s studio for the photo shooting.
